All month long we will take in submissions from Dancers, Ballerinas, Gymnasts, and Cheerleaders. The submissions must include a paragraph describing why you love to dance and a little bit about yourself. It must also include a photo of you in an outfit from Jane’s Dance Boutique. At the end of each month we will choose one person to be our Feature of the Month. The Feature will receive 20% OFF everything in our store all month long and will be featured across our social network.
My name is Liala Lezama, age 13 and dancer of St Lucie Ballet with Rogelio Corrales & Lydia Oquendo. My mother is Janine Rivera, modern teacher for St Lucie Ballet and Paris Ballet. My mother has taught me that dancing is an ability to express our emotions when words can’t define it, and that our body is a pen and the dance floor is a journal and to use our body to tell our story on the dance floor. Dancing has allowed me to express myself in a positive way. I’ve been dancing for only 3 years and I hope for one day to dance with the best companies out there and travel the world learning different dance tradition.
